Bella Buttons!

You may know that I'm a little bit card-challenged. That is to say, I suck at making cards! So if you are ever lucky enough to get a handmade card from me, count yourself lucky as they take me hours :)

Anyway, June is a terrible month for me as I have heaps of birthdays and celebrations to cover. So I have used my new Bella Buttons as a focal point for some cards. EASY!

Now if card making isn't hard enough, making cards for men and boys makes it even more difficult! For this very quick card, I used some scraps from 6x6 paper pads to layer and add depth before topping off with a badge from Hooray!

Again, another simple card (there's a theme here right?!) I mixed a button from S.W.A.L.K. with a homemade flower and ribbon.

I'm also putting the finishing touches to a new mini-album class that I will be teaching at Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn in June.

We will be creating an adorable mini book that will be perfect for stowing those summer holiday photos and memorabilia.
There will be pockets tuck in tags and photos. Watch this space for more info.

Thanks for popping in!

Buttons Galore!

It's been a busy ol' time for me and Stash Panache over the past month or so. I left my job working on Scrap365 magazine to take a job which is more local to where I live. The hours and distance means that I'm here for the kids everyday which is a fantastic bonus. So my last issue hit the shops last week although Katy and I have worked hard to put together some fabulous new features in the forthcoming issues this year!

So if you fancy yourself as an assistant editor over at Traplet and live near Malvern take a look at the job ad here. It really is the best job in the world if you love crafting!

I have been busy over the past few months creating heaps of fab designs picking up trends from the industry. I'll start off with some new Boutique Buttons which are just £4.50 for a pack of eight buttons!

These two sets feature a mix of words and images that will suit any  project. I try to keep to colours and tones that will match all sorts of papers and themes.

These guys have been inspired by Echo Park's Photo Freedom collection although really, wouldn't you just love to add one to just about everything?! I'm particularly fond of chalkboards at the moment and have added a large one in my kitchen. So you can see there are 3 chalk-style buttons in this collection.

Next up Bijou Buttons. Just like Boutique buttons, they're 1" buttons but in packs of four. They will be more themed than Boutique Buttons and cost just £2.50 a pack (bargain!)

Uber-cute buttons for babies (the yellow in the photo is not quite that yellow in real life - my camera does not like yellow!)

More chalky goodness c/o Studio Flergs. These are just a fab way to punctuate your layout!

I have a small penchant for maps although I was terrible at geography at school! These flew off the shelves at Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn last weekend!

These cheerful chaps just make me want to shout hello to EVERYONE!

You can see all the collections at any one of the retailers on the right -> or take a look at StashPanache.co.uk for the full catalogue.

Thanks for stopping by.

Merly Impressions DT Call

I have been lucky enough to be on Merly Impressions design team for the past year and I have had such a fabulous time. Chrissy is looking to increase the size of the team so now is your chance to shine! It is only open to the UK because of postage costs, but I know there are many talented UK scrappers out there! You can find all the details here.

Last month I played with the Lulu and Roy collection which has quite a varied mix of patterns and colours. I really loved the mix of patterned papers - I found them so easy to work with.

The collection includes some amazing stickers including this border sticker. What better way to start a layout? You can see I embellished mine with some gauze and die-cuts to add some depth and texture.

Under the photos I wanted to add more depth without going overboard. So some ribbon and papers help to create that texture without detracting from the photos.

You can see all the details on my post over at Merly's blog or you can just go ahead and shop for the collection here!

I hope that you'll take a look at the DT call and enter! Merly Impressions is such a great company with amazing products. Good luck!
