Pencil Lines Sketch 202

This week we continue to play along with Color Combos Galore who have given us  our fab colour combo to play with.

Quite a different palette for me.  Here is this week's sketch:

I've used mine in a 12x12 format.  I didn't get chance to do the layout before I left for holiday, so I've worked with some bits and pieces from various past kits.  I think these papers and Hambly screen print came from Treasured Scrapbooking.

I did use up some die-cuts from K & Co (camera, spinner) and Crate Paper which is great.

The kids always pull a face when I ask them for a photo - it's really like pulling teeth.

You'd think I'd asked them to do homework or something!  I don't think it's too much to ask is it?

Just love this sticker from K & Co - it's one of those things that are just to lovely to use but I've had it forever.

Be sure to pop along to Pencil Lines to see all the lovely inspiration from the team and guests.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sneak Peaks

It's been a while since my  last post as we've been on holiday to Menorca.  It truly is a splendid island - my favourite European destination.  Thankfully we had marvellous weather which is more than can be side for dear old blighty.  It has been raining non-stop since we got back.  Brrr.

Anyway, in between my ironing mountain which seems to grow each day, I've finished up some layouts for forthcomming classes.  I'll be teaching 3 classes at an all day workshop over in Bromsgrove on 4th September.

We'll be using pretty papers from My Mind's Eye (did I say they are my favourite??!) as well as playing with sweet Prima flowers.

I've also been out hunting for non-scrapbook trinkets when I came upon this gorgeous guy.  He is just so adorable that I couldn't resist.

We'll also change the tempo a little with a funky layout using lots of different techniques.

I love this colour palette - always so upbeat and just great for girls and boys and definately fun.

If you are interested in coming along I think there are a couple of places left.  Just get in touch with Liberty Chance.

I've got to get off and get on with my Pencil Lines sketch for Sunday's reveal.  I jsut hope that someone will send in the ironing fairy soon.

Thanks for popping in.

Pencil Lines Celebrate 200 Sketches!

Woo Hoo! 200 brilliant sketches, 200 guest designers and goodness knows how many other layouts. Congratulations Pencil Lines.

Another fabulous sketch from Anna.  This week we also have a colour combination to work with c/o Color Combos Galore.

Lucky me, that we get to play with some of my current favourite colours

So I mentioned that the lighting wasn't great, so my lovely white layout seems somewhat drab in the photo.  Let me tell you that there is splashes of ink and glimmer in the background as well as stamped twiddly bits in duck egg blue.

Lots of sparkle and vintage elements

Crackled chipboard letters, in duck egg blue and white edged with grey ink.

A little more sparkle.

Yellow or was it acid green ribbon.

Thank you so much for Color Combos Galore and Pencil Lines.  Here's to the next 200!

Pencil Lines Celebration

Pencil Lines will be celebrating the 200th sketch this weekend. WOW! Isn't that amazing?! Huge congratulations to Anna and the rest of the team, both past and present - you guys have inspired so many of us over the past few years.

I have been making my own small contribution this year - I feel so privileged to be part of such an awesome team.

I thought I'd share a sneaky peak of my layout (since I have little else to share :))

Unfortunately, the light was not on my side so the photos don't really do justice to the layout.

I'll be back on Sunday with the rest of the layout.  Have a great week!

Bad Blogger

It's been one of the weeks where the time has flown by in a blink.  I have no idea why it has been a week since my last post.

I did this layout for our scrapping escape over the weekend using the fabulous kit.  I just love those Echo Park papers - just up my street.

The idea behind this layout is to use up those paper scraps left over from other projects.

Also making use of those adorable stickers of which there are dozens!  I had several people ask what ROFL so to save you looking it up it is Rolls on Floor Laughing.

The kids were having a brilliant time just rolling on the floor whilst waiting for the trebuchet at Warwick Castle.  If you haven't been before - the Jousting and the trebuchet are absolutely brilliant.

Thanks for popping in.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Pencil Lines Sketch 198

Gosh, doesn't time fly?  Can't believe it's time for another sketch.  Pencil Lines will be celebrating 200 sketches in a couple of weeks!  WOW - huge congratulations Anna - quite an achievement.

I thought I'd try something different for me this time around. You may have gathered that I'm a colour/patterned paper sort of girl, so doing something so 'cream' is a little off my radar.

I have had a kind of bling/romantic layout in my head for a very long time, so it was good to use this week's sketch as the basis to get the job done.

I have been hoarding glass gems for ages waiting for the day they could dangle.  This one is from Delish.

Jolly lovely chandeliers are a must in anyone's castle.  Mine sparkle with white and blue rhinestones.

Thanks for popping in. I hope to share a mini-album that I've been working on for the past week - that will teach me to be so slow!

PS.

I had a few people ask about the supplies I used on this page.  They are mainly stamps but here is the list:

Paper - Making Memories
Overlay - Hambly
Stamps - Inkadinkadoo (Chandeliers, flourishes), Heidi Swapp (Ornate bracket thingy), 7 Gypsies (Scroll), Recollections (Date)
Spray - Cosmic Shimmer (Blue lime)

Apart from that, just some rhinestones :)
