Summer Blog Hop
AllyScraps have teamed up with Adorn It to celebrate Summer!
The design team have been really busy cooking up some wonderful projects in celebration of Summer and all things colourful. Check out the AllyScrap Blog for all the gorgeous projects.
I have wanted to create a mini-book in the shape of a beach bag. I've hand drawn a shape and cut it out from chipboard. I've used the gorgeous Girl Friday papers from Cosmo Cricket - I love the pretty colours and patterns.
I just had to have flip-flops. They were hand cut from chipboard - I just love the way the poke out of the top of the bag!
A simple concertina fold holds the pages and covers together. You can add as many pages as you wish using this technique although I only added a few because of time.
I love these Felties from Sassafras!
Well I'm off to work on some more projects!
Hope you'll be back soon.

Fun Weekend
Bear in mind I did teach a couple of classes, so let's say 16 hours then.
5 layouts? 10 layouts?
Actually, 1 might be closer to the truth!
I did finish off one other. Now you know how very slow I am! Still, I am pleased with the one that I did. LOL.
I've used the Lilian collection from Crate Paper which is really lush.
The flowers were cut from this paper. The stamps are all Inkadoo.
The fab heart is Sassafrass Felties. How darn cute!
Hopefully I'll be a little more productive this week and actually complete something!
Thanks for dropping in.

Purrrfect Projects
I wanted to frame this photo I took recently of DS. The Orbits collection from Crate Paper is just so much fun, but I used the flip side so that I could focus on the photo.
I've painted the background and stamped with bubble-wrap as well as painting the cogs.
Perhaps you'll join us over at AllyScraps - you'll be entered into the monthly prize draw. Find all the details here
Well, I'm off to pack for the weekend crop. Thanks for dropping by.

Scrapping Weekend
So, as I've been working on some Q-T projects which I can't share, I thought I'd share the classes I've done for the weekend.
Look, I know it's a circle and that I shall probably have a circluar headstone when I pop off from this mortal coil, but I love it!

Summer where are you?
Bo Bunny's Love Shack line has beautiful, rich colours without being over-powering.
I used Funky as my base and made the most of the frame pattern by cutting and peeling away one corner.
To draw attention to the photos, I've layered Shake and the stunning Party papers which I've edged with a lace punch.
The stunning flowers come in a brilliant range of colours and sizes. I've 'frosted' them using my glitter technique (see previous post) but adding buttons and brads.
I've tucked in a tiny envelope and note to hold the journalling.
Thanks for stopping by.

Robot Wars!
Jacob wanted to go to Drayton Manor for his birthday so he took his best buddy from school along with him.
I'm no roller-coaster fan - but these guys did the LOT! I couldn't even contemplate doing some of the rides they did.

October Afternoon
I'm not normally a clean-lines, simple scrapper, but I think that this just cried out to be delicate and unfussy.
It's a shame the the October weather did nothing for good photography - I really must sort that out.
Anyway, I hope you have a lovely weekend - we have a family weekend planned - just kicking-back and hanging out together.
Have fun and thanks for stopping by.

Webster's Pages
We recently celebrated DS birthday and ended up in the park because it was such a hot night. DD got stuck at the top of the see-saw and had to wait for her brother to let her down! She was just so happy!
I love Ingvild Bolme's style (she is just so awesome). I've tried to layer and layer papers not quite as successfully as she does, but I just love how this has turned out.
Layering paper and silk flowers gives such a cool effect.
The sweet fairie deserved a bit of sparkle.
I've frosted my flowers in my usual way (still my favourite technique currently).
The quote says: Flowers and Children bloom when showered with love - Anais Nin.
How true.
I still have a few new projects left to share, but I'll save those for another night!
Thanks for dropping by.

Back from flu
Went down with flu last week - probably swine flu as there is a pandemic. Never had flu before and I'm not in a hurry to get it again! It really knocked me off my feet. I'm definately better now but still feel groggy around the edges.
So I've lost almost a week of everything which is a shame.
Just when my mojo had made an appearance too. I'd made a few LO's which I was really pleased with (doesn't happen often). I'll get them photographed and share later this week.
So I'm going to share a couple of completed projects from a few weeks back.
I'm so taken with these Doodlebug papers from AllyScraps (you may have already noticed). They are just so cheerful and SUMMER that I need more!
The cute little stickers are just adorable - most are frosted with glitter.
Unfortunately, my camera isn't very keen on bright pinks so it struggled to get a good balance of colours - it does look even more yummy IRL.
Well I'm off to catch up on some rest. Hope you'll come again soon!
