Just Sharing

A few projects with you.

Firstly, Julie and Karen of Scrapbook Sisters have asked me to make them a blog header. I wanted to make something to go with their cute stick sisters logo. You can check out their blog to see what I came up with.

I can also share a project I made last year for Scrapbook Inspirations. I had to alter an accordian book in a box - the theme was up to me. I took the opportunity to make a book about DS. He's hard to capture on camera as he is always sneaking off or pulling a face!

I was truly thrilled with how it came out. It was a great chance to stamp, ink, paint and grunge. The vintage patch is off his jeans, as well as the pocket on the back page. I knew I'd saved them for good reason.

I love the mad monster drawings he does. They normally involve destruction of some kind. It was great to include a piece of his artwork - I know he's going to love looking back on it in years to come.

Thanks for dropping by.

Back in the Groove

We had our crop today which was as much fun as ever. There is just such a lovely bunch of gals that go - it's just a shame it's only once a month. I did get told off though for not updating my blog often enough! So Kay & Julie - this is for you!

I'm delighted to say that I'm going to be doing some projects for SimonSaysStamp using their own stamps. I chose the Zoo Vacation stamp by Sara D.

These gorgeous clear stamps not only look good but stamp GREAT. Trust me. Not all clear stamps are made equal. These give a fabulous, clear impression every time.

I have to say that this layout is probably my most favourite EVER. You know that rare occasion when everything comes together. Nicki came up with the idea of putting the monkey in a train.

I love the way he looks as though he were made for it.

The zebra and giraffe riding along behind him are just so cute.

The palm tree is hand drawn and coloured in with watercolour pencils.

The card also uses the same stamps and some left over scraps of paper. You know I'm a sucker for bunting!

As you can imagine, I have a HUGE pile of photos from Disney. I won't scrap them all (my shelves couldn't take it) but I will scrap some of my favourites. I did this one for AllyScraps.

We of course had to do all the Princesses. I created a little booklet to hold more photos.

Those gorgeous papers are from Imaginisce and MME you can find them here and here. They're all double-sided which means double the fun.

Yes, that is bling you can see! Isn't it great?!

Top of the morning to you!

I have been have such a great week this week. Lauren is having a birthday party next month and I wanted to design some invitations for her. We are so into Charlie and Lola and I just had to make some C&L type of invites.

Oh what fun! I made all the digital elements - my favourite is the cute cupcake!

This is the clipboard to match my organiser. Come over to AllyScraps and pop in for a chat. There is still time to enter the Design Team contest. Find all the information here.

I leave you with a Layout that I did for a class last year for Scrapbook Sisters. The papers are all by My Mind's Eye (gorgeous).

TTFN. I'll share some more layouts (and may be even some of my sewing) later on in the week.

Purrfect Projects over at AllyScraps

I do like a little challenge. I also just love making stuff (as DH will testify). So I'm kicking off the new year with a new forum at AllyScraps.

Now I know that there may be one or two of you out there that have a little stockpile of supplies! The idea is to get the most out of your supplies by using them on projects that are not scrapbook pages.

Just to keep you on your toes, I'll be setting a theme each time. We're kicking off with Organisation. I have started with a wall organiser, clipboard and diary (because I got carried away).

This organiser is very simple to make and can be done in about an hour (although it does take longer if you want some fancy decorations!

I have made some class instructions - you can find details of how to get them on my post on the forum.

I'll leave you with a sneaky peak of the clipboard - you can see more of it and details of the rest of the challenge here.

So why not pop along to the AllyScraps forum and see what we have been cooking up?

Happy New Year!

Although I've been quiet on here trying to catch up with everything, I have been busy playing catch up on my projects.

Let me just kick off with Ally Scraps. We had to say au revoir to Kary and Trish who were both wonderful on the team. There is now a new contest open to find some new members of this wonderful team. If you fancy joining me and the other girls on what is simply the best DT you could ask for, then take a look here for the full details.

I'm starting a new forum on Friday hoping to inspire you to use your supplies for projects other than scrapping. It will be a fabulous opportunity to use up the oddments that you have lurking in your ever-growing supplies (well if you are like me that is). Although I will give you permission to go and buy anything sparkly or pretty that you might need anyway!

Here is a little teaser of this week's project. I have since one even further and somewhat a little over the top because I was having so much fun!

Anyway, check in on Friday to see the big picture here.

Lets see, I've had a whole bunch of projects in magazines last month. I am particularly fond of this mini album for Papercraft Inspirations.

(Sorry about the size of the photos - blogger isn't very happy at the mo!)

I see that there is a free to enter competition over at Simon Says Stamp blog. There are some gorgeous prizes on offer so you'd better take a look!
