Just be You | Stuck?! Sketches

Time for another fabulous Stuck?! Sketch from Laura.
This was a great versatile sketch - just up my street!

I had some papers from Scrap Stars. I love the fun collection from Echo Park - Just be You. It has fab colours and great images (absolutely perfect for our Summer holiday last year).

I added some stamping to the background using a Hero Arts background stamp. I had it stamped out perfectly when I dropped the ink pad on the page :( I had to pull everything off and start again! Oh well.I

I layered various stickers and embellishments. Flair - Bramble Fox - Tumblr Inspired #2

OMG - how cute is the little kawaii cabochon?!

Anyway thanks for popping in.

New Scrap Friends | Digital Press

I recently taught at Scrap Stars retreat - it was so lovely to meet new people who have the same interests!

The Real Moms kit from Digital Press is perfect mist of colours and images.

I love the foliage and flowers in the kit - perfect for a little fussy cutting.

I added a bit of detail on the right hand side to balance things up.
The flair and Perspextives are both Bramble Fox. I also stamped tiny confetti dots below the embellishments in gold. It looks fab in real life.

The photo is from the Scrap Stars retreat where I recently taught two classes. The girls there were so lovely - it was great to have a photo of almost everyone (Caroline took the photo).

Thanks for stopping by. I hope that this has inspired you to think about digital kits in real life scrapbooks!

NSD 2017 | Bramble Fox

Hey - belated National Scrapbooking Day!

I hope you managed to play this weekend.

I did take part in one challenge today hosted by Hey Little Magpie.

I like these kind of sketches - they're so easy to use. I pretty much stuck to the original plan.
I added pretty details from Bramble Fox. I just love the Perspextives :)

I added various papers and embellishments from my stash. I tend to accumulate lovely things which are too nice to use!

We took Mack for a walk and the blossom was out in full bloom. This cherry blossom tree was huge! The floor was carpeted with pink blossom.

I used Distress Oxide inks to make the background. I'm so in love with these inks. They are truly awesome.

I love how this turned out - it was pretty fast for me! Started and finished in a day - world record!

I hope you had a great weekend. If you fancy a bit of shopping there is 20% off at Bramble Fox until 14th May.

Thanks for popping by.

#YOLO | Feed Your Craft

I have been a busy bee over the past few weeks with lots of work commitments.
One commitment I had was teach a class at Scrap Stars. You notice that I didn't call it work! Scrapbook classes are just the best! I will post again later this week with some piccies of my clases, but for now,

Firstly, I created a layout of some photos taken at the weekend. I met Tracee Provis who I 'know' from Scrap 365.  She is such a blast! We had a real giggle on Saturday night trying to keep up with the challenges. We were both totally lame!

Caroline Scattergood who runs Scrap Stars came round to take some crazy photos. They went perfectly with papers from Simple Stories.

I used the totally gorgeous The Story mini flair from Feed Your Craft.

It was great to make a new scrappy friend or two!

Be back later this week with some pics of my classes. Thanks for popping by.

Stuck?! Sketches 15th April

Been a little out of touch over the past couple of weeks as I've been very busy with a cold, work and some projects. Hopefully I'll catch up over the next few days.

Anyway, time for another brilliant sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.

This sketch looks really simple when you first look at it but when you look again, you can see more details.

This photo of my DD was taken on a holiday in Menorca. I guess the kids were used to me asking for photos - they are rather more reluctant nowadays.

I stuck to the sketch religiously this time. The lovely flair is Feed Your Craft.

I cut out little tags before adding more flair and a stamped sentiment from Feed Your Craft.

Love the 'Love' acrylic word (Bramble Fox).

Hop over to Stuck?! Sketches to see the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team. There are also great prizes to be won from this month's sponsors:

Thanks for dropping by.
